Kingdom Protista
- Protista's are one the only four kingdoms of the eukarya domain. They are broken down into 3 main groups; plant-like, animal-like, and fungus-like.
- They are unicellular Protista and multicellular Protista
- Heterotrophic/autotrophic
- Mixed cell walls
- Eukaryotes

Animal-Like
they eat other protists or bacteria or plants to get energy making them like animals!
paramecium
1. unicellular
2. it can be found in oceans, waters, lakes, rivers and mud
3. gets energy from eating bacteria and algae
4. moves with its cilia (small hairs on its outside)
5. its not harmful

Plant-Like
1. unicellular
2. mostly live in fresh water but some live in saltwater
3. gets energy from eating bacteria and algae, diffusion and mostly through photosynthesis

Fungus-Like
Feed off of dead organisms or decomposing ones
examples: acrasiomycota (slime mold) and oomycota (water mold and potato famine)

Interesting Facts!
Some interesting facts about the Kingdom Protista is that it is primarily composed of unicellular organisms or simple multicellular organisms. It is this simple structure that differentiates protists from other eukaryotes. The protists also have varying mechanisms of movement or motility and primarily make their home in water
